thats awesome, i wanted to go around too with a friend but he pulled out cos of work. so i will just be going on the tour, it will be my first. i heard it was good as well. i will be in london a couple days before to site see. (29/3)

i will actually be going to Egypt on 14/3 with my parents and then to london. hehe cant wait.

hey just a question as well what kind of currency will you be taking?
i was thinking British pounds and mostly euros?
do u have a better idea, cos i haven't really asked yet about that.

I am not too sure about currency to be honest. at the moment i am just trying to save as much as I can. but I think mostly euros is a good idea. and maybe a credit card.

yeah i understand, same here. the euro is expensive as. they say on the contiki site that we should have an average of 100 euros a day. which for our tour amounts to 2100 euros.

so did you get your itinerary yet? if so how long did it take? still waiting on mine so i can see how much everything costs to budget myself. im hoping it will explain it more in there.

No we have not got ours yet either, I think they said that we will get it 4 weeks before we go. Not much longer to go now about 2 months!!!

hey, today i went i got the contiki documentation stuff from my travel agent, but there wasn't any detail itinerary, just a note apologising they didn't have 2009 version. i was pretty cut when i saw that cos i was mostly waiting for that to have a budget ready and decide what to do. all it says is to refer to the website. but they don't say much more than the catalog.

you get the same deal? if not any chance u can attach them somehow?

Hey, sorry mate, but we are still waiting for ours also, when rob booked they did say we probably would not get our itinerary until 4 weeks before we go. So I am not to sure if that is the same for everyone?? Sorry I could not be much help.

Hi guys, I'm also going on the March 31st tour...can't wait! I haven't recieved my documents yet either but hopefully they can't be too far away.
I've been told that a budget of 100euro a day is plenty. Apparently 70-80euro is more realistic and you can still afford to do the optional extras/buy souvenirs etc. Hope that helps,

Hey Dan, yea I think I will contact contiki and chase up my documents, just to be sure!
I'm originally from Auckland, NZ but haven't lived there for over 2years now. I lived in London for a year and now I live in Ireland. I'm moving back to NZ when contiki finishes tho. I'm planning to go to London a few days before contiki starts. I see you're going to be in Egypt first. It's an amazing place... I hope you like the heat!

Yea sure, no worries. I think we all have a meeting the night before as well at the contiki hotel which will be good to meet everyone. What's your email? I will get in touch closer to the time when I have sorted out when I'll definitly be in London
