I want to go on the European Experience trip in August 2009. I am going solo but it would be great to get to know anyone that wants to go.

Yeah I booked it back at the end of december, i know i was an eager beaver! but i just wanted get all my flights and tour payments out the way so i can focus on just saving spending money from now until we leave.

Im 23 from Perth! ill be travelling on my own as well.

Are you just doing the contiki or will you be travelling else where afterwards?

Yeah, i'll definately be travelling afterwards, i have 3 weeks after the tour, i plan to look around London for a little bit, then i'm thinking i'll catch the train to Scotland where i might do a 3 day tour and then i'll fly to Ireland where i'm thinking of also doing a 10 day tour and then home from there.

How about you?? Are you travelling afterwards and if so, do you have a game plan or are you just gonna go with the flow???

Yeah definately going to be doing some extra travel after the tour. its my first trip overseas and on my own so i'm going to make the most of it.

Yeah got most of it work out hey, Going to be doing 4 night in Portugal, 6 nights in Spain, 4 nights in Naples and then 4 Nights in Athens/Mykonos!

So when are you getting into London and are you staying at the Royal National???

i fly in at 8pm on the night of the 16th! haha yeah ill be staying at the royal national for a quick shower/sleep that night and then when we get back from the contiki im staying at a hotel down the road called Hotel Meridiana for the 2 nights b4 i fly out to portugal

what about you? are you having extra time in london before or after?

Well I was going to go anytime in August but my car just died so I need to put off my trip for a little bit. But to those of you that get to go have a great time, good luck and I am way jealous.

Well, i think i'll probably get into London on the 15th because the 16th is my birthday and that would really suck having to travel all that distance on my birthday. I also plan to stay a few days in London after contiki but i haven't looked into places to stay yet.

Can you choose between hotels and hostels???? i haven't booked yet so i'm not sure how it works.

Nah not for the contiki..i was thinking for your travel afterwards.
umm this contiki tour does both i think which is a good variety.

ill be doing hotels after the contiki. works out pretty much the same for a single room in a 3 star hotel to a single room in a hostel, plus id feel a little bit more secure.
