Hi, I saw threads for a bunch of other August tour dates, but not for this one... so I thought I'd introduce myself and see if there was anyone else on the message boards going on the European Experience tour that leaves from London on August 10th.

I'm going on this tour with two mates.  Also staying a couple of nights in London beforehand and after.  Can't wait!  I used to live in London and miss it heaps but never got to see anything outside the UK.  My buddies have not been to Europe so we'll be pumped and ready for a big one.  We're all flying from Aus in early August but two of us a few days earlier so we can go to Wales and get over the jet lag in a pub down in the valleys.

So who else is coming!!

I'll be going on this same trip, i'll be traveling alone also.  I'm so excited!  I've been to the UK once before, and can't wait to see more of Europe!

I'm from NJ and will be getting to London just a day early.  I'm hoping I won't be too jetlagged to explore and find pubs and whatnot that first night.  I'm also 22 and will be 23 by the time of the trip. - Susan

I arrive in London on 6th August and hangin round in London and UK till the start of our tour. I will be up for a night out before the tour for sure.

I am also travelling by myself, from Australia, and 25 yo. After the tour I will be heading to Ireland for a while til I fly back on 8th Sept.

Never been to Euro land and I am loking forward to a blinder of a bus trip

I must say, I'm a little jealous of your post contiki travel plans!! I'd LOVE to go to Ireland... I hear it's gorgeous  

I was looking into doing a London Walk (http://www.walks.com/)... the Pub walk sounds fun, as does the Jack the Ripper walk!  I'll only have two full free days in London, so I'm gonna have to pack as much in as possible.  Can't wait!

I just booked this tour the other day.  I will be arriving in London on August 5th so i'll have a few days to explore before the tour starts.  I'm also travelling by myself and it's also my first time to Europe.  We should all meet up before the tour starts.

Hey i think finding some pubs and doing a walk would be great!  when i was in england with my family, me and my brother went on one, and it was pretty good.  i'll be there on the 8th and i'm pretty sure that the whole group has a meeting on the 9th at night in the hotel?  i'll most likely want to find things to do around london on the 8th as well, any ideas?  who's in?

Hey Everyone!

I'm also going on the European experience on August 10th.  I arrive in London on the 7th.  I'm travelling alone and am a little scared (but overly excited).  I hope to meet you all in person.  I'll probably be the shy quiet one who doesn't say much...who is hoping to be able to rid herself of this unfortunate problem by meeting cool people. 

P.S.  Is anyone else planning to do some paraglidding?  I'd really like to know if I'm the only one "crazy" enough to go for it!

I am all for the paragliding... and I'm going to be trying to get some people together to go skydiving in switzerland instead of going up the jungfrau mountain... so I'm definitely up for thrills!  Hope to hear from you soon... and ps... how old are you?  I'm 23
