Hey CatDO.
I think that the 28th might already be fully booked, and for some reason the dates in my contiki book don't match up with the ones online. But anyway in my book the Guaranteed departure in on the 30th, but this was booked out so me and my mates are going on the 2nd july. hope this helped? |

I know there probably is at least one spot left... i JUST switched my tour from the 28th of june to april 19th. (another GD)
unfortunately the 28th is the only one in june. the reason why yours says the 30th... is because thats the day you actually LEAVE for the tour. but coming from america it says it starts on the 28th because we need enough time to get to london. so same thing, it's just different countries have different dates for that reason. |

Hey there,
I have mine booked beginning June 2nd (that is the first day on which "your exciting journey begins"...)and it goes until the 23rd. This is a guaranteed tour (which is why I booked it). I believe there are a couple more in June, the Contiki Brochure will let you know, you should be able to get these from your travel agent (that's where I got mine). Hope that helps |

Hm.. this is making me think the brochures in different countries are different!
Where are you from Katarzyna? I've got the Canadian brochure and there aren't that many GD, the only one for June is the 28th. Maybe the best thing to do would be calling Contiki and asking? |

I talked to one of the contiki agents today and she said that June 18 is a guaranteed departure. She also said, however, that more than likely all the tour dates in June will become guaranteed departures because it is one of the most popular travel months. So iguess that means we won't really need to worry about it. I think I'm going to go for the 18th, 21st, or 24th...so many options!

wow, so weird, i have just booked my trip for the 20th June which my brochure (Europe 08/09) said was a GD. Along with Jun 4, 14, and 30. (I am in Australia) I can't even see the 28th as a departure date.

Ah that is really weird and makes me nervous that maybe my april 19th date isnt guaranteed! but i guess as long as my travel agent said it was...it should be?!

SPC_75, each countries departure dates are different cause it takes us different times to get over to london. I believe your 30th departure date is one of ours for july maybe? or june 28th? Anyways, I was thinknging about taking the 21st or 24th (US departure dates) but i'm not sure which would be your 20? haha, so confusing! oh well, i'm pretty sure most of them will become guaranteed departures anyways.

Thanks Cat, i have it sorted now,
I just surfed the site from the US site using a US Proxy Server and they add two days to the itinerary. Where the Aussie brochure/itinerary says: Day 1: London to Paris The US says: Day1: Depart for Europe Day2: Arrive London Day3: London to Paris. I had to book my own flight to London and assumed everyone else would too. Is your flight included if your leaving from America?? From the itinerary that is what it sounds like. Am am guessing it is just from one airport if this is the case, because it is a big difference between US coasts... -edit- link for the aussie brouchure for those interested http://rapidshare.com/files/84419378/Euro_exp_from_08-09_Aussie_brochure.pdf This message has been edited. Departure dates from North America to Europe also include flying time from North America. Tours sold outside of North America, state the actual start date of the European tour. European tours with a North American departure also have the option to have Contiki book the flight for them as well. Generally though, if you are booking well in advance, it's cheaper to search for your own flight(s).
