So now that we've had a couple people responding here and there from our tour group, I wanted to know one thing....Is our sleeping bag included?  I found a voucher in my packet that supposedly redeems a bag in London, but I've heard from other boards that you have to pay for it at the Contiki Basement.  Otherwise, I'm going to have to vacuum seal it into my suitcase.  How is everyone doing on packing?  I'm still kinda confused on where to start!  And one last thing, I read that doing the optional dinners, especially the first night is a good way to meet everyone.  Anyone planning on doing any of them?  Good luck w/ packing!

I was under the impression that we had to bring our own sleeping bags, and I've got mine all ready. They can be a real pain in the ass to pack, so do yourself a favour and pick up a compression sack. You can crush your bad down really small so that it doesn't take up too much space. You might want to wait until we get there though, and see if you need one or not.. I mean worst case scenario you just buy one in London.

I've also heard the option excursions are a good way to go, and I think I'll probably do most of them.. yeah it might get kinda pricey, but who knows when we'll have a chance to do something like this again, might as well take advantage of it!

Thanks for your input.  I called up contiki and they said that the voucher in our packet gets us a sleeping bag(i guess it was factored into the price).  problem solved there...the excursions look fun and i plan on doing some as well...you guys should all check out this other Contiki message board
