Hey Guys,

Great to see these a few more people comming on this trip, definetly
counting down the days.  I'm comming over at the end of June but
leaving the day after this contiki ends.  From Hamilton NZ.
What about you others, when are you arriving, will have to catch up for
a pint before we start this contiki, not long to go now!

Hi Guys,

For sure will catch up before the tour. are you staying in the hotel the night before? I arrive 31 July and so do Siobhan and Sandra. I'm staying on for a working holiday for around 12 months and I'm from the NSW South Coast.
I'm stressing about the 20kg luggage limit!!!! How much have you budgeted to spend each day?? reckon i've grossly underestimated how much i'll spend on a night out!

Hey

I'm from Regina, Saskatchewan in Canada.

I get in to London on August 1.  I know I'm staying at the Royal National on the night before the tour, so that's the 3rd, not sure where I'm staying the 1st and 2nd.  Any ideas?  The tour date is starting to get closer, I can hardly wait!

Hey

Staying at Royal National night before and night after the
contiki.  Budgeted for about $100 nz$ a day, as that seems to be
what everybody else seems to say, but I'd say it could be way easier to
spend more, and I've heard a night out could be very expensive!

Hey all,

I'm glad I'm not going to be the only one on the trip now!!
Kind of scary seeing as i'm moving for 18 months there and haven't organised a thing yet!! i may be winging it a little.
I'm definitely staying in the royal national the night before. Don't know where I'll end up night after. I thought the tour officially ends in the morning so we'd get back to London about lunch? I'm getting tickets to Creamfields (music festival) on the 26th August. Lineup is really good if anyone wants to join me! it'll be an effort backing it up after amsterdam but i'm up for it!!!
stupid 20kg luggage limit is stressin me out!
oooh so exciting though. we all seem around same age so far too which is cool

Kasi - i think winging it is what it's all about!! Part of the adventure :-)

I'm worried about the luggage limit, too... I'm going to be overseas for about 3 months so I need clothes and stuff for then, too, not just on tour?? And will we get to wash our clothes?!?! and how lol. I'm sure they've thought of this already, I might have a wonder round the rest of the forum see if someone's answered my question already.

I'm 18 by the way, i'll be turning 19 when we're in switzerland hehe.

Hey Rebecca,

I remember seeing your posts on the tour you were going on before cos I was originally booked then too but decided to go a little earlier so I could be back for Creamfields! We'll make your party in Switzerland a memorable one! Its actually my birthday today, and so I'm 20 on tour. I think clothes washing might happen every week or so, so I'm preparing to be smelly for a while! I'm just a stress head over what to wear all the time anyways so my main concern is having:

a) nothing to wear (as always)
b) getting sick of the clothes i actually do have to wear
c) a combination of the above mentioned points resulting in ridiculous spending sprees and an alarming amount of boots being bought (my weakness, I admit)

What are your plans after the tour? Do you have things worked out? And what day do you arrive? I paid for my flight today, I arrive around 6am on July 31st! Its soooooooooooooooooooo close now I'm freaking out a little. I have to leave my boyfriend behind too. Which will be hard!

Kim and Kasi - I don't have a boyfriend to leave behind so s'all good :-P

I'm leaving australia on the 28th of June - and you think the end of July is soon!! Haha. I'm going to germany before the tour, but I'll fly over to London on the 2nd of August. How exciting!! And afterwards, I'm staying in london (no idea where!!!!!!) until the 9th of september. or 10th, i dont remember. So will have a few weeks maybe to pop over to Ireland, and check london out a bit more. What about u?

Heaps of people are having their birthdays whilst we're on tour, its gonna be so much fun!

:-)

Lucky you not having a boyfriend! haha

Where in Aus are you girls from?
It'd be cool if we're not too far apart to meet up before we leave?!
I'm shitting myself. its 7 weeks. sooooo much to organise. HOw are you guys going about accessing money?
The charges are just ridiculous. I have a credit card that I'll be using before I leave to book stuff like accom and tickets etc. And I was going to put my own money on it, and just use it as a charge card (not for cash advances, cos then its charged with interest) for stuff I buy on tour and not actually use the 'credit' on it. Then I was going to use my keycard from home for cash out, and hopefully will have a Brit bank account by then to use too. It costs to much to transfer money AND to withdraw it. I'm scared I'll lose all my money in fees!!!! Is there any other thing you guys are using? I'm worried.
Also are you taking a pack or suitcase? 20kg limit SUUUCCCKKKSSSS!
