Hello Everyone!!

I'm on this tour too. Alyssa you seem to be a bundle of energy!! I hope you sleep if I share a room with you Smiler

I'm booked to arrive in london on the 24th of Aug after doing the
States but if my brother is in London, I'll be staying with him until
the 26th where I'll move onto the Royal National. I'm pumped. Coz I'm
working at a summer camp beforehand, I fly out in about 31 days and
Europe and UK is my reward Smiler

Let us know what youre packing and I'm getting a bit freaked out by how much pocket money everyone is bringing!

I'm defintely up for checking out London, Stonehenge and Bath before or after the tour if anyone is interested.

BTW at the moment I'm just solo and I'll be 24 on tour.

And i got a Britrail ticket (youth 4 day consecutive) so i'll be
training it up to Scotland and probably Wales if anyone wants to join
me. I should be getting free accommodation with a buddy of mine in
Glasgow so YEAH BABY!!

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Hay Kat,

Thats awesome on this tour too!
Hehe... I am a bundle of energy, but I do sleep. Dont worry!! Wink
Wow, you sound like you have an amazing trip planned!!
Im defnitely up for some sightseeing in London, but im doing a travelgar tour after Contiki which goes to Stonehenge and bath before wales, ireland and scotland before heading down england back to London.
Yeah im a bit clueless about what to pack... but have you been to Contiki Cafe... Google search Contiki Cafe.. its the first search result, its a contiki forum to help with packing etc... im addicted! (the link doesnt work if i post it here.)
Im a bit worried about how much money to bring too. I think im budgeting $130NZ  (about 65 Euros a day) a day. Europe is expensive. But gotta remember their are long coach days some days where ya might not spend as much...
Do you hav an email?!
Wat part of Aus you from?! I love Australia!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks Alyssa for the reply.

I thought with trafalgar you had to be over 35. Its the contiki's
"adult" tour. Thats cool. I saw that the Contiki Basement have tours
going to all those places so I'll probably hitch a ride with them. Your
trip sounds awesome!

I cant believe you guys have to wait SO long to leave. Thank goodness
I'm leaving sooner or it'd do my head in. I've studied 5yrs straight
after High school then worked fullt ime straightaway and i need a
break. I dont know how people do it...

Thanks for the tip about Contiki Cafe. My list of what to bring is ridiculous considering I have camp as well.

Yeah I have an email address and everyone is welcome to email me. It'll
be good to get in contact with everyone more too without having to come
to the contiki website.

It is...

kajanaster@gmail.com

I'm from Sydney and so glad i'm missing the winter!! I cant handle Autumn!!

Ohh! And i was wondering what optional activities everyone is planning
to do. Does anyone know about the paragliding? It's pretty expensive
but I think the shortest flight is 1.5hrs (or I think... I dont
understand the Austrian website...).

Take care everyone, cant wait to meet you all and looking forward to hearing from you Smiler

Hi everyone.  I'm Jason, 20, and from the United States.  There's actually 5 of us going on this trip before our study abroad in England.  By December, we'll all be broke, but whatever, it's Europe, it's worth it.

I'm turning 21 really early in the trip, in Paris (seriously, a bar tour in Paris, c'mon, what's not to love?).  Good wine and good beer, ah, my weaknesses.

So naturally, I'm definitely doing the wine tastings.  I was talking with the one girl that's in our group, and we were talking about doing the gondola in Venice, something in the Alps (maybe the rapids!!), one meal, and maybe a couple other things.  I am game for whatever, I just want to have enough money to eat and have fun at Leeds too!

We are storing a good chunk of our luggage with Contiki during the trip.  It's like 3 Brit. pounds per piece per week.

Looking forward to meeting you all!!  Feel free to e-mail - jpw202@psu.edu.  Talk to you later!

Hey again everyone.  Have a general announcement that I think interests all of us:

The weekend we get back in London is called Open House London.  Over 600 buildings in the city, most not normally open at all to the public, open up for free.    There's a few details on this website: londonopenhouse.org

So if anyone's interested in seeing London when we get back, there is no shortage of places to go.  See you all soon!
