I'm not on your tour (I'm leaving on April 5th from Cairns to Sydney) - well, actually that's now April 6th because Fitzroy was cancelled for my tour as well.

I was told that it was because of "Operational Reasons" which I translated to - "not enough rooms available for my tour." I guess it's something more complex than that if your tour was changed too.

Hi Angela,

My name is Natalie and I am from Victoria on the south coast of Austrailia.  My trip is in June and Fitzroy Island has been taken off that as well.  They are renovating the resort on the Island and have shut down the Island till renovations are complete.  Just thought you would like to know.  Also I haven't heard of many sharks being spotted in the Great Barrier Reef but they are seen on a rare occassion and tours are done there on a daily basis.  Hope you enjoy your trip have fune and let me know if you enjoy it.
