My cousin and I are going on this tour starting in Cairns and ending in Sydney and then we are off to New Zealand to do the Grand Explorer for 15 days (starting in ******church and ending in Auckland - Jan 28 - Feb 11) and then seeing how much $$$ it will cost to fly into Bali and stay over for 4 nights.

Is anyone else going on this tour?

I am thinking about signing up for this trip...I haven't decided yet. I think after this Contiki trip I would backpack down to Melbourne and visit the Great Ocean Road. But I am travelling by myself...so it's a bit scarey...what part of Canada are you from?

Hey there. I did the Reefs and Rainforests tour this summer. The tour was great and there were loads of optionals. I started in Sydney and we went up to Cairns. The only bad thing that I think travel agents don't tell you is that you are doing the tour with others who are doing different tours, so you are picking up and dropping off people along the way. When we got to Cairns we lost most of the people on the tour and after being with them 24 hours a day for 2 weeks, it was really hard. If you can afford it I would recommend the Aussie Explorer.
