I'm from Dublin Ireland! Won't be staying in the hotel as i've already booked wake up hostel to stay in for the few nights i'll be in sydney.Are you staying there?
Yeah, I'll be at the hotel! Wish I had booked more nights in Sydney before the tour starts, though, there seems to be so much to do and see! My flight only arrives at 6:10am the day before the tour... at least I'll have one day to explore Sydney a little! And I think there's a meeting at the Chifley Potts that same day in the evening. Have you done much travelling before?
I might try and go to the meeting the night before the trip depending on how close it is to my hostel. I've done quite a bit of travelling before but never alone so this is going to be a bit of an adventure. Actually spent 3months in Canada 5years ago,mostly in Toronto but went to Montreal too!I've never done a tour like this before.
Hi Andrea,I'm thinking of booking the chifley potts for the night before the trip as it'll be more convenient. Just wondering did you book it online-the reservation system doesn't seem to be working at the moment. Also are you staying in the cairns colonial club resort at the end of the trip?
Hey Sharon! I've visited a few places around North America, but haven't done much overseas travelling at all! So I'm extremely excited for this trip. Never travelled alone though, either, so this will definitely be an experience! That's neat you've been to Montreal... I've never been to Ireland, although I do have a bit of Irish in my background (distant background... my dad's side of the family is mainly English/Scottish and my mom's is Ukrainian). I think booking the Chifley Potts the night before is definitely a good idea, since our tour leaves so early! I booked it through a contiki agent by phone, and if you take the multi-share, it's only 55$. I am staying at the Cairns Colonial too for a night at the end, booked it with contiki as well, 35$. You plan on staying at the end also?
Thanks for that tip Andrea!I rang my travel agent today but unfortunately the chifley potts is fully booked so can't stay there. Got a twin share in the cairns colonial though. I will try to make it to the meeting on the 18th as i'd like to meet people before the trip starts!
