I'll be leaving Hawai'i for Cairns on Jan 29th for the R&R tour. I have a couple of questions about the optional excursions. There are 2 outings to the Great Barrier Reef. Any suggestions on which to take (or both)? Also, the Sydney Harbor Bridge Climb (for $160) is it really worth it? Or could I go it alone for cheaper? I'll be staying an extra 3 nights in Sydney after the tour. I've found some hostels for cheaper than the Contiki Travelodge, any recommendations on which are good?
I am so stoked about seeing Australia!! I've been wanting to do this since my last Contiki tour through Europe, where I got to spend 16 days with 40 Aussies!!

Hi Chris! I am also going on the Jan. 29 Reefs and Rainforests tour. I would suggest taking the optional Whitsundays sailing trip. Everyone I have talked to says it's amazing so I have booked that. Don't know about the others. I am staying on in Australia for an extra two weeks after the trip to travel on my own or with people I meet. probably going to stay in Syndey for at least a few days so whatever lodging tips you have would be great! Where in Hawaii are you from? Went there last winter for the first time and LOVED it!
