My sister just backed out on me so now I'm going alone, anyone else? Does anyone else find that the dates on the site are kinda screwy or is it just me? Cause the site says its the 20th and the book says its the 24th and when I tried to book its like the 23rd or 24th. LOL oh well eh

Hey I'm going july 23rd on R & R from Cairns too! Pretty sure we're on the same tour. I'm going alone too and really looking forward to it. I'm from New York and going to WYD before the tour starts. Hope to hear from you soon!

That's cool! I'm 23 yrs old. I've already booked my flight from Sydney to Cairns on Wednesday, July 23rd in the morning, since the first day of the tour is basically a free day. You should really book your flight, if you haven't already, since I've noticed they're really filling up quickly. Have you figured out which optionals you want to do yet? I really want to go skydiving, i just hope I don't chicken out in the end. lol

I'm 23 from Toronto.I'm going to WYD and then flying to Cairns to do the Beaches and Reefs. I think our tours meet up! My start date in Cairns is July 26th but I'll be at the resort on the 25th night.

Hi! Oh that's right, our tours both meet up! That's great that ur going to WYD too. Are u going with a group? I'm traveling solo for both wyd and contiki. I know I can't wait to go skydiving too along with so many other optionals! I arrive in Sydney on July 11th and I fly to Cairns on July 23rd, the day my tour starts, which is really just a free day. I'm really looking forward to it all...only 1 month left!

No group. I'll be traveling solo as well! A bit nervous but excited too. I leave here on July 2nd so I;ll be there for three weeks before headin to Cairns for the tour.

Hey Asher, I was in the exact same position you're in. Two years ago when I booked my European Magic tour my buddy backed out and I contemplated not going but I'm glade I ended up going. I had the time of my life!!! When I got back I told my friend all about it (My adventures and awesome ppl I met) he was super jealous .
Your sis will regret it and you'll have the time of your life!

I'm actually doing the Reef and Rain forest December 1st - 16th. I'm Super excited!!!!!

Hey! I'm anxious myself for the trip! I've gotten some things, clothes, toiletries, etc. for the trip, but haven't gotten a chance to pack anything yet. I made a list of what to bring, which i think is way more than what I really need! I still need to make sure I pack everything i'll need for both the warmer and cooler days, too. I think it'll be really hard to pack no more than 44 lbs. for my luggage. Are u taking a suitcase or a backpack? I'm still debating it. I'm def bringing a smaller size backpack as my carry-on. That'll be nice to arrive in Australia 3 weeks before WyD...will u be traveling anywhere else? Sorry I forgot to ask sooner, what's ur name? Well good luck packing!

I am taking one suitcase and will bring a backpack too in case we hike and stuff on the tour! I'm definitely bringing a few sweaters because I'll be going to New Zealand after this tour! I won't be traveling much before WYD. I think my family is taking me to Canberra and I am going on some daytrips with a bus company. I have family in Sydney so I will be with them, not in hostels.
I really want to watch a show in the Opera House since I'm going to be there for so long I might as well get the full experience!

Hi! Lorraine, that's so nice you will be staying with your family. I'm sure you'll have a great time seeing all the sights before WYD! I'm still waiting to hear back from WYD to see where my accomodation site is, but I also booked myself at Wake Up hostel for my time in Sydney in case of anything. I arrive on July 11th and I'm hoping to get some days in before WYD to go sightseeing around Sydney. Just today, I actually called up the Sydney Opera House b/c I really wanted to see a show myself. I'm seeing 'My Fair Lady' on July 12th. Very excited! I also got my Contiki travel documents...I've been trying to decide on the optionals I really want to do....but there are soo many! Have u both gotten ur documents yet?

I booked at the Pink door for before WYD and I leave for Cairns on the 21st. I haven't got my documents yet. I'm so super exited! I can't believe how fast its going!

I got my Contiki docs a couple weeks back because my travel agent realized I'd need them prior to leaving here.

Time is really flying by quickly. I started packing finally and am trying to get everything in order!

Im doing the reef and rainforest tour departing cairns on 23 July. Im going alone but its my fourth contiki so I know what im in for <LOL!!> I will be staying in cairns after the tour for a few days after to do some snorkelling etc before flying back home to Auckland. Its my second trip to cairns but I didnt do the reef and rainforest last time.
